Errata and Corrections Policy

The Ugandan Journal of Management and Public Policy Studies is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of its published content. When errors are identified that do not alter the main conclusions but could lead to confusion, the journal will publish a correction in the form of an Erratum or Corrigendum.

Definitions
Erratum: A correction issued by the journal to address significant editorial or production errors, such as incorrect author spelling, formatting mistakes, or misplaced figures and tables.
Corrigendum: A correction requested by the author(s) to fix errors for which they are responsible, including inaccurate data labels, wrong affiliations, or omitted acknowledgements.
Eligibility for Corrections
Corrections may be issued for:Errors in data presentation (tables, figures, or graphs) that do not affect the overall conclusions.Mistakes involving author names, order, or affiliations.Missing details such as funding information or conflict-of-interest declarations.Minor factual inaccuracies that may influence reader interpretation. The journal generally does not correct minor typographical or stylistic issues unless the editorial board considers them significant.
Correction Process
Requests must be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief, clearly explaining the error and the proposed correction. The editorial team will review the request, consult with authors when necessary and may involve peer reviewers if appropriate.Approved corrections will appear in the next available issue under the heading “Erratum” or “Corrigendum” and will be linked to the original article online.
Transparency and Access
All corrections will be freely accessible and will not modify or conceal the original article. The online version will include a clear notice and a direct link to the correction to preserve transparency in the scholarly record.
