Plagiarism Policy
The Ugandan Journal of Management and Public Policy Studies uses a double-blind peer review system to protect the anonymity of both authors and reviewers. The journal aims to reach timely decisions on whether manuscripts are accepted or rejected. Submissions that fall outside the journal’s scope or fail to meet editorial standards are not sent for peer review.
The Ugandan Journal of Management and Public Policy Studies maintains strict measures to prevent plagiarism, copyright infringement and other violations of publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are carefully screened using plagiarism detection software, including Turnitin, to ensure originality and compliance with ethical writing standards. The journal is committed to thoroughly investigating any allegations of plagiarism or improper use of published material.If a submission is found to contain copied content, unauthorized use of third-party copyrighted material, incorrect attribution, or disputes over authorship, the journal reserves the right to take decisive action. These actions may include:
Retraction: Removal of the article from publication if plagiarism or copyright violations are confirmed.
Correction Notice: Publication of a correction to address citation errors or inaccuracies.
Reporting to Authorities: Notification of relevant institutional officials, such as department heads, deans, or academic bodies, for further investigation and action.
